  Unbalanced misfits and worse still more paedophiles might see a warm welcome in an anti JW campaign?

  However that isn't our problem, as you say Outlaw, it's a matter of targeting those waking up and helping them leave. Easier said than done. . .

  I took a Watchtower Rag !

  i accepted a wt mag/rag from a bro i have known for decades just to be polite.

  i asked him if he would like my comments on it sometime, he said he would listen, (yea maybe he will hear, but not really listen and absorb what i have to say.).

  the interesting thing is, they are getting better, the borg,there was only one "half quote" where they select what they want from a source, and ignore the rest of what the source says.. and only one blatant lie.. it was the mag about the 4 horsemen, and a supplementary article makes the false claim that " archaeology repeatedly supports the bible's historical accuracy".. this is typical jw borg propaganda speak.

  To be a Jehovah's Witness is to live a life in denial of reality. Forget reason or evidence, the Watchtower deliberately forgets them!

  Ignore clear thinking, despise education and achievement because as a JW you can luxuriate in that species of happiness which comes from being servile to the cult masters in the way that dogs feel rewarded for obedience.

  Firstly I want to say congratulations to you and your wife for escaping and welcome to the site here!

  When newly out of mind control most of us have the desire to help our former trapped inmates. It is good that you propose an idea but I fear it would miss the mark since it is addressed to the public, most of whom don't care a fig about JWs.

  The problem of rescuing our old comrades is one which crops up all the time on exJW sites because it is such an important issue to discuss. How to rescue the trapped and avoid the heartache of remaining embroiled in the cult?

  One way which is found to work is to play the long game with individuals; never criticise the org...to do so is like puncturing their inflatable lifeboat... and live a happy and useful life after departure from the organisation. It doesn't have the drama of your suggestion admittedly but JWs expect apostates to turn into libertine hedonists as a matter of course.

  Perhaps a national awareness campaign day, highlighting the JW mind control and end of world scam along with their paedophilia issues, could be organised through various arms of the media? I fear this too might only attract more nutty followers in the aftermath!

  Congratulations Awakened J17, you are an encouragement to us and you can be proud of yourself because it's often hard to break free. You have done a surprisingly positive thing as I think you will find out. The more individuals who see your example and escape from this harmful cult; the greater the speed of decline of the JWOrg.

  You now can enjoy your own choice of life and be happy in doing so. You have already joined the apostate summer convention where the motto is "Give up now!"

  "we do sound like a cult..." so in the last few conversations i have had with my still deeply in friend she has mentioned this a couple times when lamenting things that don't seem right.

  she has a relative that left and is telling everyone jw's are a cult.

  she is very defensive and deeply disturbed by this accusation.

  How can angels be sexually attracted to women?

  the nephilim account in genesis is utterly ridiculous when you consider that angels are sex-less beings and would therefore lack sex-drive and romantic attraction.

  think of how difficult it is for humans with a sex drive to be sexually attracted to animals.

  now take away that sex drive and it becomes literally impossible.

  talk coordinators will coordinate with other talk coordinators in order to find speakers to give the public talk on sunday.

  Before you criticise others Cold Steel, most here have had the good nature not to comment on the wording of your subject matter. You cannot easily 'dissipate' knowlege can you? Try disseminate next time.

  Day One Lowlights

  too much crap to keep track of, but a few low lights of day one of the regional convention stuck out.

  in no particular time sequence here is some of what i managed to hold down.. tight pants yapped on in the opening part about a three part theme to conventions.

  part 1 was in 2016, part 2 is this year, and part 3 is in the works for 2018. i guess the big a isn't coming for a couple more years, at least.. then it was really stressed that all good dubs must always be prepared to "witness" by carrying jay double you, dot org calling cards, and of course wear your id card for the convention at all times, and all places.. next was the strong statement that the purpose of the carts/trolleys is not to place literature, it is to direct people of the public to "our" web site!

  Thank you FedupJW, I might have the desire to cut my wrists if I went to the assembly and exposed my ears to this nonsense for more than ten minutes! So thanks for going on our behalf!

  The "goofy" illustrations as you report almost indicate that the writers of the material have given leave of their senses. They are not even credible any more. Only demented fools could believe this trash---is it evidence of a death wish in the JW org?

  It truly sounds like the beginning of the end of Jehovah's Witnesses!

  i have just posted elsewhere that there is no destiny for a jw other than to be deluded or disappointed, perhaps deluded or disillusioned would be a better expression.

  there is no such thing as armageddon, no such thing as everlasting life, paradise is a mirage of wish fulfillment.. a friend of mine who is nominally a jw but who does not believe a word of it, told me about the dying words of another friend's father.

  this man had been a lifelong stalwart jw and reared an exemplary jw dynasty but as he died he told his super zealous son that it (the jw religion) has got it all wrong.. ok, it's a social club for the majority of witnesses and an identity for those without self worth or clear goals in life, they will swallow the inconsistencies and biblical absurdities because it is in their community interests to conform.

  my freedom came with a heavy cost.

  i couldn't stand the dishonesty so when my sister went out of town on a trip i told my parents that i no longer wanted to be a jw.

  when my sister got back and i told her she was so angry, said she really wanted to slap me, then she ran off sobbing, a few minutes later she deposited every gift i ever gave her in front of my door.. my entire family has turned against me.

  Saethydd, courage my friend! You are the honest one acting according to your conscience.

  Don't let the emotional pressure of an ignorant religion which your family are trapped in take away your integrity. In the long run your course might allow them to recognize that they are in the wrong-- by giving in to them; that would likely not happen.

  We know they are being unkind to you blindly carrying out the gb's orders but it will improve as you get a good education and are able to depend more on your own resources. JWism encourages dependency on the clowns running the cult...it's not a real alternative is it?
